COVID-19 Telehealth

Dear Patients,

We take your health and wellbeing very seriously at Southpoint Eye Care. We want you to know that we are monitoring the COVID-19 situation daily and are taking extended measures to keep everyone safe. Our in-office protocols will be updated daily to meet or exceed the latest guidelines and recommendations provided by the CDC.

Here's how our office is working to keep you safe:

• All of our staff members will be washing their hands with soap and warm water before and after your visit. We have hand sanitizer throughout the office for your convenience.
• Our office has always been thoroughly and regularly cleaned. In addition, we are now sanitizing high traffic surfaces such as door handles, phones, faucets, computers, and countertops multiple times per day, using the products recommended by the CDC to be effective against COVID-19 and other viruses.
• We will limit the number of patients in the waiting room to allow for appropriate social distancing.
• We have asked our staff members not to come to work if they exhibit any signs of respiratory illness. They have been instructed to stay home until they are free of fever and any other symptoms for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing or symptom-reducing medications.

To avoid the spread of disease, if you have symptoms of fever, coughing, shortness of breath, sore throat, nausea, or vomiting, DO NOT come into our office. Please give us a call, and we will be happy to reschedule your appointment or set up a telehealth visit for you.

We have taken additional measures to adapt our office to the changing landscape of healthcare while continuing to provide our patients with the highest standards of safety, convenience, and care. Our office is pleased to announce that we now offer telehealth appointments for all of our patients.
